Walk out the door and go surfing or bodyboarding on Manly beach. Perfect for beginners and experts; longboard and shortboard riders. You can even learn to surf at the Manly Surf School.
Manly has some of the best restaurants and cafes in Sydney. Our favorites include Jellyfish, Whitewater, Blue Water Cafe, Out of Africa, Manly Wharf Hotel, Bai Yok Thai and Wockbar.
Rent rollerblades and cruise up and down the beach front. Check out Manly Blades opposite the beach for gear.
Take the 15 minute Fast Ferry or 30 minute Ferry trip from Manly Wharf to the center of Sydney at Circular Quay. Check out the timetables on the Sydney Ferries website. There are some great ideas for things to do in Sydney on the This Week in Sydney website or the Sydney Visitor Centre website.
Go shopping on Manly's famous Corso. Every weekend and public holiday there's an Arts and Crafts Market. Check out the market details here.
Walk along the Cabbage Tree Bay Coastal Walk to Shelly Beach. Have a swim or lunch at the famous Le Kiosk Restaurant.
Take a sunset harbour walk to see the sailing boats moored and dine at one of the fabulous waterfront restaurants like Hugo's at Manly Wharf.
Go snorkeling or scuba diving in Manly. You can beach dive from Shelly Beach or boat dive in Sydney Harbour, leaving from Manly. Both beginner and expert diving is available through Pro Dive.
Take a walk up the North Head and see the magnificent Sydney Harbour. You can see all the way down the harbour to the Opera House and the city centre. Check out the ships coming and going and the sail boats having fun every day. On the way back, stop off at the historic Quarantine Station, where new immigrants were housed from 1828 to 1972.
Within a 10 minute walk from the apartment you can play golf, tennis or go swimming. Check out the Manly Golf Club, Manly Lawn Tennis Club and Manly Andrew 'Boy' Charlton Swim Centre. All within a 10 minute walk!

Go on one of the most beautiful walks in Sydney, the Manly to Spit Bridge Walk. It takes 3 to 4 hours but is well worth it, taking you past secluded beaches, magnificent harbour-front houses and even Aboriginal sites. All the details of the Manly to Spit Bridge Walk are here.
